Dr. Burnham

Dr. Burnham has always been interested in muscle, bone and joint problems. He completed his Bachelors and Masters degrees, medical school and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialty training at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. He remained at that institution for several years as an Associate Professor practicing and doing research in the area of Sports Medicine. He moved to Central Alberta in 2000 where the primary demand for service was in the area of chronic muscle, bone and joint pain management.
He founded and is proud to be a member of the interdisciplinary pain management team of the Central Alberta Pain & Rehabilitation Institute. His primary role is to perform minimally invasive interventions (i.e. injections, nerve ablations) to help control pain, so patients can effectively rehabilitate and live more fulfilled and comfortable lives. He is also interested in research and has published multiple research articles and book chapters. When not at work, he enjoys his family (including his wife, their 7 children and 19 grandchildren) and volunteer church and community service.
